Scalp health in Lahore's summer — what works and what doesn't
Every July we see the same pattern — clients come in scratching, flaking, and worried they are losing hair. Usually it is not the hair, it is the scalp.
Three things help more than anything else. First, wash more often in summer than you do in winter — every other day, not every four days. Second, use a clarifying shampoo once a week to remove AC condensation buildup and urban dust. Third, a scalp therapy treatment every six weeks through the summer breaks the cycle.
What does not help: oiling heavily and leaving it overnight. Warm oil massage is wonderful as a calming ritual but heavy oil sitting against an already irritated scalp just blocks follicles further.
