A family-run studio, six years in.
StyleCuts started as a single chair in DHA Phase 5 in March 2020. Sana had just come back from Paris and Stockholm with the conviction that bridal in Lahore deserved the same editorial restraint you see in London and Milan. Her brother Bilal had left a finance job at HBL to help run the business side. They opened the day before the first lockdown.
Six years later we run three studios — DHA Phase 5, Gulberg III, and Johar Town — with fifteen stylists, one apprenticeship programme, and a standing rule that nobody leaves the chair worse than they arrived. We are proud of our no-damage ethos, our steady bridal practice, and the fact that most of our team have been with us more than three years.
Our ethos
No-damage hair, steady bridal days.
We will turn down a service if it will hurt your hair. If you come in asking for a lift your hair cannot hold, we will say so — in the chair, before we start — and suggest something else. It costs us a booking occasionally. It keeps us in our chair long-term.
Bridal days have buffers on either side. No bride sits down to a rushed stylist just finishing another client. Trials are 90 to 120 minutes. Nobody up-sells you mid-trial. The price you hear is the price you pay.
Our team stays because we pay fairly, schedule humanely, and run a proper apprenticeship programme. You will likely see the same face on your second and third visit.
How we got here
Timeline.
- 2014Sana Tariq trains at L’Oréal Professionnel Paris, then assists at Maria Nila Studios in Stockholm.
- 2016Sana returns to Lahore and starts taking bridal clients privately from her home studio.
- March 2020Sana and her brother Bilal Rauf open StyleCuts — one chair, a rented corner of Plot 42-C in DHA Phase 5. COVID shuts them two weeks later.
- October 2020Reopen with three chairs. First paying bride in December.
- 2022Gulberg III opens — Bina Qureshi joins as branch manager. First gents section.
- 2023“Best Bridal Studio in Lahore” — Dawn Sunday Magazine reader poll.
- November 2024Johar Town opens. Kids programme launches with Farah Zia as lead.
- Feb 2026Zara — our AI receptionist — goes live on all three branch lines in partnership with CBHiTech.
